Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to manage all financial operations for our manufacturing site. This role will oversee cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, budget preparation, and compliance with industry regulations. The Finance Controller will play a key role in driving cost efficiency, analyzing production financials, and supporting strategic decision-making for site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Systems, Processes, and Controls: Setting up all systems & processes in Finance (Capex and asset management, banking and payments, accounting, financial closures, taxation, etc.). Financial controls, oversight, and accounting of entire capex expansion plans. Setting up banking, treasury, payables, and payment function. All audits (statutory, internal, financial controls, etc.). Co-ordination with statutory/internal auditors and resolution of all audit queries as well as assist the financial reporting team in statutory audit
- Financial Reporting and Closures: Financial closures and sending financials to India Finance team on a timely basis. Assisting the financial reporting team in India on quarterly and yearly financial closures. Performing monthly/quarterly analytics and preparation of analytics dashboard. Conducting complex data analytics with a good understanding of interlinkages.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cashflow Management: Budgeting exercise and monitoring of budgets at a company level. Cashflow management – forecast and actuals. Partnering in the long run with business teams to work out revenue forecasts on a periodic basis. Monthly variance analysis against budget revenues and expenses as well as monitoring the run rate.
- Financial Analysis and MIS Reporting: Assisting in high-level financial analysis (Revenue stream wise, location wise, etc.) and reconciliations with financial books. Preparing operational MIS reports relating to revenues, operational expenses, and capital expenditures.
Job requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience. Biotech / Pharmaceutical or prior experience setting up systems and processes and managing large Capex projects preferred.
- Skills: Strong cross-functional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems proactively. Flexible and adaptable leader able to manage stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
